Beyond Lundy Framework

The Beyond Lundy Framework is a new regional approach to embedding the voices of children and young people into the planning, delivery, and evaluation of services across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Building on the Lundy Model, this framework shifts participation from occasional engagement to a consistent, rights-based practice, making children and young people's voices central to everyday delivery.

Purpose

Designed for professionals across all sectors, the framework aims to:

  • Ensure fair and equitable participation of all children and young people
  • Standardise and strengthen engagement practices
  • Provide a shared language and structure
  • Encourage cross-sector collaboration
  • Promote accountability in acting on children and young people's views

Accessible and easy to use, it requires no specialist training and integrates into existing systems.

What’s included

  • A background of the Lundy Model of child participation
  • Practical tools and checklists
  • Child-friendly feedback tools

All resources are adaptable and reduce duplication.
