New resources on Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
Wednesday, 8 October 2025

The Centre for Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities (CANDDID) is hosted by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
CANDDID carries out a wide range of clinically-led research, training, education and service development consultancy activities, co-produced by people with lived experience of learning disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders either themselves or as family carers.
CANDDID has recently launched a new online resource on Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), designed to support autistic children and young people and those with intellectual disabilities, as well as their families and professionals.
The resource brings together practical guidance, videos, screening tools, as well as links to research to help raise awareness.
