Last week, NHS England informed us of plans to radically reduce the size of Integrated Care Boards across the country, including a halving of running costs by the end of the year.
This announcement followed the news that NHS England is, itself, set to be abolished and its functions transferred to the Department of Health and Social Care in an effort to streamline decision-making and end duplication.
