Patient and Public Advisory Group
23 November 2017
Do you have an interest in the NHS as either a user of health services or as a carer? If so you could help us in our work to commission high quality services for the people of Wirral.
NHS Wirral CCG is establishing a new group to help it ensure it engages and consults the people of Wirral. The Patient and Public Advisory Group (PPAG) will act in an advisory capacity to the CCG. The group will receive information relating to the CCG’s operational priorities and commissioning intentions and review the associated engagement/consultation plans in an advisory capacity. The group will also consider the outcomes of engagement and consultation activity to identify best practice and learning.
The public representatives of this group will act in an important capacity to help the CCG continually improve its processes and practice and to bring experience and views of users of NHS services. The group will be chaired by the CCG Governing Body Lay Member (Patient Champion) and will also include representatives from local organisations who have a direct interest in or involvement with the NHS in Wirral.
So, if you have an interest in or experience of using NHS services as a patient or carer then we would like to hear from you. The application pack explains the selection process and what you should do if you wish to apply.
Please note there are four vacancies available to join the group. Closing date for applications is midday on Friday 15th December 2017.
For an informal discussion, please contact Michael Chantler, Assistant Director – Communications and Engagement on 0151 651 0011 extn 1033
