Patient and Public Advisory Group
NHS Wirral CCG's Patient and Public Advisory Group (PPAG) was established in 2018.
The group acts in an advisory capacity, to help ensure that the CCG undertakes meaningful patient and public participation.
It receives information relating to the CCG’s operational priorities and commissioning intentions and reviews the associated engagement/consultation plans in an advisory capacity.
The group also considers the outcomes of engagement and consultation activity to identify best practice and learning.
The public representatives of this group act in an important capacity to help the CCG continually improve its processes and practice and to bring experience and views of users of NHS services.
The group is chaired by the CCG Governing Body Lay Member (Patient Champion) and also includes representatives from local organisations who have a direct interest in or involvement with the NHS in Wirral.
For 2019, the CCG is looking for new representatives from local organisations to join the group, and bring their expertise and insights.
